Usual cure
Except for surgery, there is not a lot that can be done to get
rid of cellulite once it sets in. Surgical removal of body fat
can be done by liposuction, although it is very expensive. However,
exercise and weight control can go a long way to prevent the problem
and keep it from getting worse.
Eating right
Whatever you eat can have a positive or negative effect on your
body, which can greatly improve, or worsen the appearance of cellulite.
Eat the right foods. The main components of a basic healthy diet
are: proteins, fats, carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins and fiber.
Feeling young, and maintaining beautiful skin is more within your
control than you think. Below are some tips:
- choose whole, fresh, or carefully processed foods
- limit fat andsugar intake
- take supplements, our bodies need them as we grow older
- take antioxidant produce like fruits and vegetables that are
rich in fibre (except avocados, olives and coconuts)
- add more fish in your diet
Exercise
Eat in moderation and control your weight with adequate exercise
or activities like swimming, cycling, even walking. Choose exercise
and activity that involves all the muscles of the legs and strengthens
the upper body and arms. It is excellent for cardiovascular development,
and in strengthening the muscles, fats get burned and this reduces
cellulite appearance on the skin. Plus, it’s great weight
management.
You can improve or lighten the appearance of cellulite
by applying topical cellulite cream. They do not get rid of them,
however they may help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Most
cellulite creams contain aminophylline, and may cause a reaction
for people with asthma. Check with your doctor before use.
